Hi,

Decorating with natural materials gathered outdoors can be a nice way of adding style to your home that is in tune with Mother Nature. Whether you gather items such as pine cones and rocks, or grow flowers, plants and herbs specifically for decorating purposes, decorating with natural materials will make your home beautiful without resorting to manufactured items.

Hi Maya,
Nice idea of using drift wood as wall dec.,

I would like to share similar thing we done with the died bonsai plant at our mom's place.Unfortunately one of my mom's 12yr old bonsai withered away so wht she did was stored it and once it was completely dried she put varnish on it.
Later we fixed some stuffed sparrows and pigeons and wood rose flowers which we bought from a mela to it using a very thin metal wire.we fixed the whole thing on to a flat wooden plank to give it good base to stand.

Just giving u an idea wht more u can do with the drift wood or withered plants

Nice idea, I agree with you. I am also use wast natural material like wood, leaf for decoration.:thumbsup

I use dried twigs, add solawood flowers to it, and paint it with natural colors (shades of brown), and put in a flower vase. A bunch of them would look amazingly good. A big bark of an old tree is still used as a sitting place in my granny's place!!
