I have been using biotique henna and it is really nice. Check it out if you are unable to get VLCC one. It has a lot of added powders other than henna alone which gives the hair a nice shine and volume.I like it a lot.

We buy Shikakai from any Indian grocery stores. Since you are in gulf, probably it should be the same for you too.

As long as it is not too much oil. Once I henna when my hair was too much oil and it was not good:rotfl. so please only use little oil before any henna

Hi Haritha,

When we apply henna to oiled air and then wash it, it acts as a conditioner alone.

When we want to use henna for colouring the hair, better to apply it directly on the hair (without applying oil). This way it acts as conditioner and colouring agent. Leave the henna on the hair for at least an hour before washing it. Better to rinse the hair with just plain water and avoid shampooing hair on that day.

Washing before we use Henna

Like the title say. Should we have head bath the day before doing henna if we want the color of the henna to stay with us longer and brighter?
