Help! I Think I Spoiled A Skirt, How Do I Fix?

    I was upcycling a skirt by adding layers of pink ruffles.

    the skirt is smooth but the ruffles are bunched up.

    How do I fix this?


    Do I flatten the frilly waves?

    Or do I add horse hair inside the skirt, above the frilly lace to make the skirt waviness more consistent?

    i did not understand the issue, from pic i can not see the waves..are you saying you got waves where ruffles attached..
    did u have to cut the skirt to attach ruffles? and then just sewed. What fabric is skirt? is it stretchy?
    Only i see ironing need. may be closer pic?
    also, to consider, if i can not see waves from pic which is probably at arms length, most people won't notice, unless they bend and look at the skirt hem carefully in light.
    One more thing to try - as easy fix - if its not bad, then try steam iron the waves and leave it for few secs. it does take away problems many times.

    Skirt is linen.

    Now the bottom is very wavy, it looks like a dent in the natural cue ones of a wavy skirt

    I was counting on the fact that people may not notice, but I will notice :-(

    I’ll see how to steam iron, thank you!

    ok for me it is still hard to notice so unless you provide better pic i wont know.
    YOu did not have to cut the bottom skirt to attach ruffles, then how did it pucker, not sure..
    but try to steam. And other option is add tape/binding tape on seam joining ruffle and skirt.
