    My husband is asking for w2 forms now as it is time to file taxes. What will happen if I don’t give it to him. ? What should I do now ? If I don’t file taxes what will happen ?

    We need to file jointly. He cooked dinner for me. ( he never does anything. ) If I asked what he wants and why he’s soo nice to me ) he said w2 forms.

    If I don’t file taxes will we get a fine ?? I can search the internet but not having time. Please advise everyone !

    Tell him we will go together .I will bring it and give it there.
    You have to file taxes for sure .

    You don't have to give him your W2. You can file your own taxes under the 'married filing separately' status. Married couples who don't want to co-mingle their finances, have widely disparate incomes or are separated/ in the process of divorce use this status for their taxes. Go to a CPA, they will take of the rest. You will need to provide some information about his adjusted gross income, social security etc., and you may end up paying higher taxes. Not filing taxes will lead to fines and penalties.

    Tell him you also want to be involved in the tax filing process. A good opportunity to see his finances and w2. But if he dont want you in this process, dont give based on your posts. Its like giving full control to him.

    If you dont want to give him w2, then you can file yourself . If you need help, contact tax preparation services nearby ( example : Tax Preparation Services Company | H&R Block®).

    If not, you will endup paying fine. Last date April 15.

    It’s illegal to not file taxes. How do you not know that? You don’t have to file jointly. You can do married filing separately.
