heavy periods after sterilization

Hi all,

I had my second kid in April 2014, and chose to undergo sterilization soon after. I got my periods last month (8 months post delivery) and it was both painful and heavy. I thought that was because of the 8-month gap. I go the next period after 40 days, and I have started bloating around my tummy a lot. The second periods is also as bad as the first one. I feel terrible pain that is difficult to bear, and cannot even attend office, or to my household tasks. The flow is pretty bad too.

I am now wondering whether it could be because of my sterilization. Has anyone experienced something similar? Please share if you have.
