    All the tips are very useful and i am following..would like to add one more...

    instead of just grinding and sauting the onions. this is what i do for gravies..i wash the onions without removing the skin..dry and then bake them in the oven..for 20/30 minutes at 200 degree C, depending on the quantity. then remove, check for fungus/spoilt and discard. others i just grind them and freeze...you do not need even a spoon of oil..and the gravies come equally tasty....and you don't need to spend more time to remove the raw smell...

    you are correct, now a days we are changing our food habits not only for us and also for our future generation. As you said we have to do this for our kids. thanks for your comments.:)

    Thanks for the useful tip. can we do this in a MW also? after grinding can we keep the puree in the freezer for future use? can you explain? and also tell me can we keep full onion in the MW? because we never keep full potato in MW no? like potato do we have to 'make some holes in onions', before keeping them in MW. explain.:coffee for your answer.

    you are correct. prevention is better than cure. Now I am struggling due to obese, so what ever I am taking steps to reduce my obese, I am giving here. so that many will get good lesson from this. is it not?
