    Mint (Pudina) is very beneficial for losing weight.
    Mint (Pudina) chutney can be taken with meals or as a sandwich spread to avoid the calories of butter. Mint tea helps to clear the stomach.

    If you are diabetic, get your eyes checked at least once a year for signs of retinal damage, cataracts and glaucoma.
    Diabetes-related eye complications are the leading cause of blindness and vision problem. High blood glucose levels can damage the blood vessels in the retina, in the back of the eye. If left untreated, they lead to the deterioration of vision and ultimately blindness.

    Be specific in your resolutions. Think through exactly what you're going to do, what changes you'll make and how.
    For example, if your resolution is to lose weight, then consider exactly what changes you are going to make to your eating habits and exercise in order to achieve it.

    When trying to lose weight & craving strikes, look at an image of something that is unattractive/gross to suppress appetite.
    Although this is a bit extreme, but the least thing that will be on your mind when you are disgusted is food. You can also think or smell something gross.

    Listen to relaxing music during meals. Studies have shown that it helps you chew at a more leisurely pace and eat less.

    In case of a deviation while on a diet plan, do not give up the whole diet. Instead focus on getting back to your plan from your next meal.
    All people slip-up from their diet plan at one point or the other during their program. Consider it as a temporary setback that you can overcome and focus on getting back to your diet plan from your next meal. In the long run, one little deviation will not undo all your hard work as long as you get back on the plan.

    Try to eat a handful of nuts like almonds (badam) five times a week to reduce your risk of heart disease by up to 50 percent.
    A study showed those who consumed nuts five times a week were found to halve the risk of heart disease. Huge amounts of vitamin E found in these nuts acts as an antioxidant and reduces the risk of heart diseases.
