    Dear ILties,

As a responsible parents, we are much concerned about our children studies.

Last week as per the advice of elders we went to Hayagreevar Temple, Thiruvaheendipuram (Near Cuddalore and Punrooti). We booked a Van and in 4 hours journey we reached the temple.

We have to climb around 50 steps (App) to reach Hayagreevar Sannidhi.

Though it is on a week day, the temple was fully crowded. We can offer school accessories like note books, books, pencil, pen, geometry box, abacus instrument etc.

It will be placed in the Hayagreevar's feet and will be returned to us. The Moolavar with all his blessings for the students is so divine. Some people are putting kolam in the temple. They are first cleaning the floor with ghee and on the cleaned place they are putting the kolam and if the child is small, they are keeping the child on the kolam otherwise the older kids are doing 20 namaskarams.

It is very good for their memory power. We took the blessings of Hayagreevar and on our return journey, the driver advised us to visit Chettipunyam temple also. It is near Singaperumal Koil.

This temple is also very famous. We visited Chettipunyam and did the Archana for the kids and the temple is very clean.

I request our IL members to visit these temple, when they find time.

    Dear Andal,

Thank you very much for the information on both the temples.

BTW what is the diety in Chettipunyam temple. I hope since the temple is near Singaperumal temple, it is not too far from Chennai. So, surely we will make a visit and give you the FB.

Ya Swathi. Both are very nice temples and very powerful too. We also visited Chettipunyam some time back. Very nice & neat kovil. We went to Thiruvahendapuram last year but didnt get chance to worship Hayagreever. It was late in the evening and the temple closed. So sad.

    Thanks for good info Swathi.

    Deall all,

Thanks to all those visited this thread and registered their comments.

The Hayagreevar is the Lord of Wisdom and if we cant go to the temple, we can ask our child to chant the following mantra after his daily bath:

    "Ganananda Mayam Devam, Nirmala Spatikakridham,
    Aadharam Sarva Vidyanaam, Hayagreevam upasmahee!!"

    This has a powerful effect.

    Dear Swathi

Thank you very much for giving the information about Chettipunyam temple. I went yesterday to the temple. Very nice one. Also, I went to a Shivan temple which is next to this Hayagreevar temple. That one is also very nice and its also an old one. Really, I should thank you very much for giving details about this temple. Thank you.
