Having a bird in a cage

    I agree with Latha ..I have 2 parakeets .. I bought them from a pet store where they were cramped with many other birds fighting for food .. and my birds live in exactly same environment as Latha's . I am 100 % sure that they are very happy and that can be known from the chirping sounds they make ..They also fly freely in our house ( with all doors closed ) and I am proud that I have provided a safe environment for them by rescuing them .. So Yes , We did not cage the ones that were freely flying in the wild ..Of course , Somebody did ..But I bet every bird owners having caged birds take good care of them and the birds in turn are able to recognize the love provided and reciprocate ..
