Mom I know the pain you felt,
when you nurtured me for nine months

Mom i understand what you understood
from the first words i spoke.

Mom I understand though you were not with me
You were always with me...

Mom i understand why you had your celebraton
everytime i made my achievements

Mom, I understand what you went through,
When I first rebelled,
Mom, I understand what it is to advice
and be looked down...

Mom when i see her, i just stare at her
grinning sheepishly,seeing a image of me,

Mom, nothing can replace you,
the hugs, the kisses, the cautions,
the reprimands, are all etched there,
The gratitude that ebbs in my heart,
For you are the one who taught me
how to be a MOM................

The trials we have survived, the pain I gave,
Mom, how i wish i could take that back....
I learn to be proud even at the worst,
as you have been.....

I know you were not perfect, but I'd never
change a thing about you, because
that is what was so special about you...

Thanking god for his blessings,
for a mom and a daughter as special
as you both, when she started,
Filling the space left empty by you.

To every daughter and every mom, happy mother's day as the daughter becomes the mother, and the mother becomes the daughter and it is a circle of love that enfolds others into it.
