    I never knew that there was an International Mens day, because unlike a woman’s day, it doesn’t get even a hint of publicity either in the print or the visual media.
    There maybe a scores of best things about men, but the time now is for women to be financially and emotionally independent, irrespective of their marital or single status. Marriage doesn’t offer the long time comfort zone and security that women of yesteryears enjoyed, and it is for this reason that every woman need to be financially independent.
    Let us give a big thumbs up for all the men there, who support their wives and her families, brushing aside the rude comments of a patriarchal society!

    Neither women nor men seem to be happy. Both have got some complaints to make either about the spouses,in-laws or kids or siblings or against the boss.This discontentment will never vanish,unless both men and women understand the hard core realities and pragmatic situations at large.If acceptance on core issues is arrived at, other petty issues will get automatically resolved.With the same busy world, with the same patriarchal society, some keep themselves joyful.We can learn the victory mantra from them.'

    @SGBV,

    Actually, more than Men's day, it was the picture which brought my attention to this snippet. There are all kinds of men out in the world depending on the culture of the country they are from and the nature of the parents who raised them. Eventually, what is right in their view is what the men need to do. I like @Rihana's view that if there is a formal separation from the parents just like how it happens with the women, perhaps, the men would do better.
