    It is said having king size break-fast, followed by prince like lunch and pauper-like dinner are few of the best ways to maintain fitness and remain trim. You hv chosen the ideal time with sensible moderate menu would sure to stand you in good stead.

    my friends following weight reduction or and maintain weight reports, first cause could be eating (over riped) banana in the wrong hour/ moment . Second could be red chilli and spices. Even tamarind causes bloating later and a while longer.

    Indeed. My periamma to avoid standing for long in kitchen, in her eighties was provided with a tall wooden stool (not plastic or steel) while cooking at the platform. She found legs below knee or around ankles less bulged with almost nil water retention. She claimed salt in food too causes enhanced water retention at cellular level that contributes to body weight.

    Eating sprouted potatoes or green potatoes contain certain chemicals which can contribute for bloating feeling in the later part of the night - opines a medical report from Karnataka.
    In green potato it is glycoalkaloid that causes bloating of abdomen.
    Solanine in sprouted ones too gives mild agony pain in stomach.

    I've lost another 1 kg this week. Within 3 weeks time, I am able to lose more or less 3 kgs and I find it so useful.
    I don't see any reduction in my size except for the fact that I feel less bloated these days. No one has noticed anything either. Because it is just 3 kgs in the 70Kg range; hence not visible.

    But I will continue the same life style for the next few weeks to see how it goes.

    Starting weight was 80.10 kgs, and within the end of 3rd week the scale showed 76.55 kgs. Although the weight fluctuated during the day and stayed max 77.40 kgs - so it is still an achievement for me.

    I remember going down to 76.10kgs last year from the same starting point (somewhere in 80 kgs) took me nearly 5 months with at least 5 days in gym and diet (totally carb free diet at night such as soup and chicken breast etc) and my trainer said it was quite an achievement after menopause (I had surgical menopause at 40 yrs).

    But I gained everything back in the next 2-3 months since I stopped the diet and workout as I changed my country and took time to settle in.

    This time, I've gone for a more relaxed and practical way of loosing weight. Simple diet, yet conscious on carb and sugar. Since the past 3 weeks (except for a day or two), I haven't consumed anything made of Maida or Sugar. Limited portions, and increased fibre/veggies while cutting almost 75% of the carb (complex carbs) that I usually ate.
    Consumed detox drinks such as green tea, cumin/coriander and fenugreek soaked water and black cumin water at different times of the day.
    I did 20 mins Latin dance for zumba, which is easy and pain free. I actually enjoy this time.

    I am planning to ride a cycle for at least 20 mins for 2-4 days in a week from next week onwards. Let's see how it goes.

    Despite this, no one has noticed the weight loss. Last year when I reached 76 (through workout in Gym) people noticed, and I actually looked shaped and thin. Don't know what's going on or whether it is too early?
