Cloudy or dull glassware will come out of your dishwasher crystal clear and sparkling if you add approximately one tablespoon of Epsom salts to your next wash cycle.

Stop the tears flowing when peeling onions, especially with large quantities for pickles etc. Peel and cut onions in half, place in a plastic bag in a single layer and put in the freezer. When frozen (usually a few hours, depending on quantity), remove from freezer, leave for a short time so they are not too hard, then chop or slice with a sharp knife.

GROW AN ALOE VERA PLANT in a pot near the kitchen door. Break off a leaf and apply the juice for the best-ever relief from burns or insect bites. The plant will grow and proliferate with little care apart from some occasional watering. It's a natural remedy, virtually free, and unequalled for burns from stove or iron.

For beautiful, shiny clean jewellery, use a soft toothbrush and toothpaste. Rub lightly, rinse and polish with a towel. Diamonds and gold will simply glow.

great recipe for sore throats and chest colds

    .....makes about 2 cups...

    1. Two lemons thoroughly cleaned and sliced
    2. Two piece of ginger about the size of your pointer and middle finger together sliced into coin size pieces
    3. Honey (about 1 cup-maybe more)

In a 12-16 oz. jar combine lemon slices and sliced ginger.
Pour honey (organic is best) over it slowly. This may take a little time to let the honey sink down and around the lemon and ginger slices. Make sure when the honey has filled in all the voids, there is enough to cover the top of the lemon slices.
Close jar and put it in the fridge, it will form into a "jelly". To serve: Spoon jelly into mug and pour boiling water over it.
    Store in fridge 2-3 months.

Blueberries...: Many of the major diseases are caused or developed by chronic inflammation. Inflammation promotes free radicals, which lead to dangerous oxidation, cell damage, and cancer. The more these free radicals thrive, the more they multiply. The flavonoids in berries, which are part of a family compound called polyphenols, are what make berries so healthy. Polyphenols promote “the expression”of genes that reduce inflammation and also promote the body’s antioxidant system.

    2. Pineapple: New research shows that the bromelain in pineapples helps with cancer treatment. According to Dr. Joseph Mercola, “Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme, which can be helpful in treating cancer because it helps restore balance to your immune system, among other cancer-fighting benefits.”

    3. Ginger: According to a Georgia State University study, ginger root may actually kill human prostate cancer cells.

    4. Spinach: Spinach is one of the most nutritious foods in the world. A study in Japan showed that some of the nutrients in spinach may help protect DNA, reduce cancer cells, and slow tumor growth.

    ACTION:
    1/2 pineapple
    1 cup of blueberries
    1/2 inch piece of ginger
    1/2 cup of spinach
    Drink immediately
You can drink this juice once a day on a regular basis
Make sure the ingredients are organic
    Enjoy!
As always: Consult your health practitioner before changing or including anything new to your diet.
