Hi, I have a family member who is 76 and had a surgery for a hip fracture recently in India. The surgery went fine and is recovering physically, but is having severe hallucination effects even after 2 months post surgery. He had neuro issues and has been taking neuro medicine for past 40 years and is still continuing that, but he is being treated now by psychiatrist for the hallucinations. They are increasing and decreasing the dosage on and off based on the behavior. Every day is different and is not the same. They have a helper to take care of the physical needs and the wife is taking care for everything else. The wife is also in late 60's and is finding it very hard and mentally draining. The kids are abroad and is not in a situation to move with them permanently, but is helping by making short trips for immediate needs. Internet says it is post operative delirium affecting elderly patients. I wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions to help with improving the condition, and any other alternative forms of natural treatment to help. Thanks in advance.
