hair offering for my kids in pittsburg or Bridgewater venkateshwara temple

I am looking forward to do the hair offering(second time) for my 4 year girl.
I am yet to decide if it is going to be pittsburg/bridgewater,NJ.
Just checking to see if someone can share their experience and suggestions on the procedure and options.
I am currently in connecticut.

Hi Mythili, we did our DD's hair offering ceremony in Pittsburgh temple. They also mentioned to us that they send this hair ( 3 cuts or 5 cuts) to Thirupathi. They will not do a complete shave in the temple. I think this is the case with both Pittsburgh and Bridgewater temple. Usually they ask you to come around a particular time and everyone that has come for hair offering are told by the priest what to do. It is like a group event.

After that they will also recommend you the person who will do the complete shave. In Pittsburgh, his name is Tony barber. He has been doing it for a very long time and did a very good job with our DD. She did not have even a single cut even though she was very fussy and resisting. You can call the temple and get this information or if you have any other questions.
