H4 to F1 conversion

    Hi,
    Iam planning to persue a certification course in UCLA extension school in winter,Jan 2009.
    Iam a Btech graduate and was working in IT for about 2 yrs.Iam now on H4 and would like to change the status to F1.
    Could anyone please let me know the process and the complications if there are any?Also,the advantages of the program...

    I know this is very old post of yours. But wanted to know about the certificate program at UCLA. I am also planning to apply for the same with COS from H4 to F1. So wanted to know if you already done that? how was your experience?what are job prospects on OPT?

    I am new to LA and want to pursue some certification courses through ucla extension . I wanted to know if any of you tried changing your visa status from h4 to f1 and if there were any complications, and also if the courses are helpful in finding jobs. I'll be really grateful if any of you can share your experiences.
