Re: Alu methi in Gujarati Subji Thanks for reply pl.find out this dishes Lauki Raita(dudhi) Ingredient 250 gm. fresh yoghurt or dahi 1 small lauki Salt to taste 1 tsp. olive oil 1/2 tsp. mustard seeds 5-6 curry leaves (meetha neem) 1 tsp spoon jeera 1 tsp tamarind powder 2 green chilies Boil Lauki .Heat oil in a ‘tarka ladle’ or small pan and add mustard seeds, curry leaves n seeds add Green chillies. Add to tamarid powder Stir for a few seconds add fry to lauki. Cool to subji. After add to beat to youghrt Serve with chilled Place in a serving bowl and garnish with fresh coriander and/or mint leaves. You can also serve it as a dip, with tiny Nan breads or Tandoori roti squares. Beetroot Raita 1 small beetroot 2 cups natural yoghurt Salt to taste 1 tsp. olive oil 1/2 tsp. mustard seeds 5-6 curry leaves (meetha neem) 2 whole red chillies-broken up into small pieces. 1. Pressure cook beetroot (or buy ready cooked) and grate it. 2. Mix yogurt, salt, beetroot. 3. Place in a serving bowl. 4. Heat oil in a ‘tarka ladle’ or small pan and add mustard seeds, curry leaves add red chillies. Stir for a few seconds. Pour over the raita. Serve chilled. Reagards, Ketal
Dear kalyana, i am really sorry for not replying soon. I had been abroad and only recently started signing on to the indus ladies. You can use large spinach leaves. It is a different taste but still comes out very tasty. I hope this is useful information regards pravina
Hi prveena I just want to add that for dhokri if u want it instat mix one lemon juice +one sachet of eno powder & mix it .Keep for 10 mts & than can steam it.
