Hi...during such unfortunate times..one should not break one's fast for which sankalp has been done.
You have done the right thing. Just observe the fast but don't do any pooja or offering water to Shivlinga.

No....you complete your 16 by continuing the same.
Death is not under any mortal being's control so go ahead and keep observing your fast.

According to Maharashtrian Panchang (Date Pangancg), if the girl is married then sutak from the father's side is observed for 3 days. This is so because after marriage gotra of the girl changes to her husband's family gotra.
So I think you can continue with your vrat. Esp. Solha Somwar, is one for which we do sankalap so we need to finish it if you have made sankalp.

Ohh in that case, you should only fast and refrain from doing pooja.

Since you have been observing the fast and Kartik Purnima 2016 was your 10th Monday fast....so 21st would be ur 11 th fast.
In this way...your 16 somvar fasts would complete by December.
