GPS in Chennai available??

    Hi ALL

    I have used GPS in US, but haven't seen ppl using GPS in chennai...
    Any idea about where to buy? How much ? Any good brands available?

    Sorry, the GPS in Chennai sounded hilarious to me :rotfl

    Its usually references to tea stalls, and bus depots :drowning

    Brinda it is not of much use for local commute...but for long trip from Chennai to various destinations, they might help you

    You get all those brands in US like Garmin and others

    MapMyIndia makes excellent maps for South Indian region and they are affordable as well. Infact the map gets updated every three months for major cities and hence shouldnt be a problem using in Chennai.

    I have personally used MMI, when I was in Chennai and found it accurate to the street level. However, unlike US based maps, Indian maps arent accurate to the house level.

    MMI also provides navigators (GPS devices) with maps preloaded for a discounted rate.
