If you are coming to Chennai then Nalli 100, Kumaran, Pothy's will be good choices. For kids clothes you can try Sree Krishna Collections in T.Nagar or Pondy Bazaar or even Naidu Hall in the same area. It also depends on what you are looking for regular wear or party wear.

1.u can go to sri krishna collections in t.nagar.they have quite gud collection.
2.chennai silks, also there is a place called moksha in cathedral road they sell gud designer saris check for salwar materials.
3.there is a place in alwarpet near the flyover called rekha boutique quite gud collections there and also there is boutique called sarvottam next to it.
4.u can also check in kiran boutique in spencer plaza.
5.also check in naidu hall they have quite gud stuff readymade ones.

You can also check out Shristi that is opposite the old Lifestyle building on C.P.Ramaswamy Road in Alwarpet. They have excellent collections.
especially party wear for women. Lovely stuff is available in Sowcarpet with embelishments that will not burn a hole in your pocket. Happy Shopping.

in ranganathan street theres a shop called kalanjiyam where u can buy chudi materials for reasonable price and theres a tailor called nisha tailors who stitches beautifully .
