Ambika Foods in Round Rock has fresh vegetables every Tuesday / Friday. Most vegetables there are inexpensively priced compared to other desi stores in Austin. They have a huge variety of other Indian groceries too like dals, spices and frozen items.

Based on convenience, I also stop by sometimes in the following stores:

Taj groceries in Round Rock, they also carry fresh veggies but like the original Taj groceries in N. Lamar. That store is more clean and carry a huge variety of everything.

MTM foods in Parmer Lane - items here are little expensive relatively

    vanillasi,

Depends on where in Austin you live! If you live around South/Southwest, Manpasand is the best (at least it was a year ago)

If North, Ambika is good. There is also Gandhi Bazaar in South, but I have found vegetables to be better in Manpasand than in GB.

Of course, all the information I am giving you is from a year ago, I used to live there for 7+ years until last year! Have very fond memories of Austin :)

We live in South austin, and found that Manpasand is still best in our area. In Gandhi Bazar, several times we found old stock, as well as it is bit pricey there.

For those living close to Lakeline Mall area, there is a Manpasand Supermarket that is coming soon on the 183-N access road. Near the 183N access road and Lakeline Mall drive intersection, in the same strip as MuangThai restaurant.

The coming soon board has been seen for a few months though!!
