I went to a Gynac (dont intend to name her) behind Ram theater, who is claimed to be well known, and has always huge crowd waiting to meet her whenever you go. B'cos of the crowd, she doesn't spend much time and doesn't allow any one accopnied by the patients including the husband, and no way one can even to talk to her and check if any doubts. Then I went to Dr.Mangayarkarasi near Jwakar school, near Vadapalani Mugrugan Temple. (I reside at Vadapalani She seems really good and very caring towards patients and spends much time, very patient and listens to and guides well. Not only for the regular, I am just 3 months now (2nd time) and I have been going to her, and she is really good. Here, I want to share my experience. When I went to her first time six months back when I was carrying about a month, She carefully studied my other medical records on my treatment for ear related problem that I was undergoing and found that I was misguided and directed by a very reputed ENT hospital in Chennai for a CT scan (while it was not at all required - may be for usual commercial motive). The time when CT scan was subjected was the time when my baby was just week's gestation and hence was subjected to possible radiation which was also confirmed by the concerned radiologist at the Lab. I feel Dr.Managayarkarasi was pro-active in checking other relevant medical records and find out such a mistake by the ENT consultant of that Hospital, she also took pains to talk to the radiologist of the lab in front of me and confirmed certain facts of the possible radiation impact. She was also furious with the ENT hospital for their negligence in not only ensuring care to check for patient details (especially me and my husband were young couple and married just since 3 months), and also for not ensuring care when it comes to recommending radiation related tests to possibly pregnant women or even to normal women without checking them for pregnancy related details and thus wrongly prescribing the CT scan which was not neccssary for the kind of ear ailement that I had. I feel it's rarely that we come across doctor's like Mangayarkarasi. And any one can check out. She is also a consultant at Devaki hospital I think.
hi vidhya, theres is one paediatrician called DR sharadha who comes to apollo clinic in prithvi avenue in alwarpet she is well known in chennai and good with kids!my sister takes her kids there and she is very friendly!!!hope this info helps you! regards pavi

For Good Gynec i'll strongly suggest Dr. Rajkumari and Dr. Prema David both are in CSI kalyani hospital Mylapore. Many people from far off in chennai also come here because here they are not money minded and do it as a service and wait for normal delivery unless there is an emergency. I had my delivery there. Just here how amazing my delivery was. I had an abortion in 3 month of first pregnancy (I dont want to mention the doctor) When I got pregnant the next time I went to Dr. Prema David. My body condition was very week and was in full bed rest from 45th day of my pregnancy till delivery. No one thought that i'll have normal delivery. But All Glory to God and thanks to the care of the Dr. I had normal delivery... So I fell That the Gynecs there are bestand the homely atmosphere in the hospital eases the pressure Regards Hema
