Dr.Aruna was in Lifeline before and she never smiles and talks to the point.
She have 17 years exp in Mafraq hospital and 3 years in Lifeline. Now she is in Burjeel only

Nijasav, hmm what you give is what you get back...I think that is VERY JUDGEMENTAL OF YOU.
I think it is unfair of you to say that since you were not there.
If you were 'assuming' that I was a bit or somehow cocky to her, you are definitely wrong and by the ways did any part of my statement give you a feeling or sense that I could have been bitter or cocky when meeting her? Were you even there?
Yes, I am offended because I was VERY nice, smiling and all..she is a doctor and that is one of the professionals I respect!!!

    I know Dr.Mary and met / meeting her-----so i wrote what i felt...
If you wrote about Dr.aruna, i would have agreed, i know her also well... I accompanied my other friend who consulted Dr.Aruna.. I was insulted by Dr.Aruna, but later when she came to know about me, she spoke to me to the point...That is her nature.

Let me add to this.. anyday i would recommend Dr. Mukundan. He was with Lifeline and I had my baby there and he was my gynec. My preg was a smooth one, and I would say it was all due to the encouraging and positive outlook of Dr. Mukundan.

He is very easy going but at the same time stairghtforward.

When I was 37 weeks and 6 days preg- my water started leaking. I remember that he duty was from morn 8 to 2 in the afternoon. I reached hosp at early morn 1 and dr. came in at 3 to check me. To make a long story short I was in labour for 32 hours and even despite me and my husband requesting for a csec, he insisted I wait for a while more and helped me deliver my princess normally.

All through the 32 hours of labour- be it night or morn, his duty or not- he kept checking on me every 2 hours and kept consoling and keeping my husband in good spirits.

    Hi ladies,

It's been a while since anyone commented on this post. Has anyone gone to Dr. Aruna Kumari for checkups? Dr. Mukandan is no longer in Burjeel...can't find his name in their website either. I'm new to Abu Dhabi and 18 weeks pregnant. I've been seeing Dr. Aruna since my 10th week but she is extremely reserved and hardly speaks a word.

Even after doing a quick scan, she mumbles in her native language to the nurse and all she tells me is everything is FINE. Whatever doubts I have, she clears with one answer - "Whatever you want"

Doctor is there any restriction on food - Eat whatever you want
Doctor is there any particular cream i can apply for my tummy itching - Apply whatever you want
Doctor is there any particular ointment you can recommend for pain - Use whatever you want!

Sometimes i feel as if she says this only so i can leave her room quick...as such my appt only lasts 5-10 min out of which 5-6 min are spent with her doing a scan. On my 12th week appt, she was downright rude and said "eat whatever you want, it's not my concern"! My husband, who accompanied me, was very upset, but we still went to her at the 16th week because we didn't know of any other options!!

If anyone has something nice to say about her, please let me know...atleast I'd know that she can be sweet to some people !! Or please recommend some other doctor in Burjeel to me. I'm considering taking alternative appointments at the Women Health Center of Corniche now because I feel so dissatisfied!

    Hai Natrod17,

Even i had the same experience with Dr Aruna Kumari.....Every time i go there i think may be this time she may speak or answer to my questions but everytime it used to be the same....I always go there with an appoinment but still had to wait for 1-2 hours min and finally when i get into the doctrs room i get a chance to spent only 5 mints over there.....She never had time to listen to any of my questions ...After the scan she just says everything is fine n she leaves the room....If I ask her something also she says the same thing like u said "do whatever you want"....

I am also very much dissappointed with her and I am planning to change the doctr....If anybody knows any other good female doctor in Burjeel plz recommend....

Dr. Shagufta Tasveer is a good gynaec @ Burjeel... She has moved to Burjeel from Al Noor... A good doc with a pleasant attitude... Just like many of you, my xperience with Dr.Aruna wasn't very pleasant at all. She is very rude and unfriendly... I feel very disturbed when I have to consult Dr.Aruna, post failing to get immediate appointments with any other gynaecs...
