Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus by John Gray, pretty popular I think. Not necessary to marriage, just understanding how men and women think.

"The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands" by Laura Schlessinger

The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands: Laura Schlessinger

To quote one of the reviews there:

The author focuses on such things as the realization that men also have feelings, that men and women think in different ways, that women like to talk things out while men like to solve problems, and so forth.

It is normally said that non-Indian marriage counselors do not fully understand Indian marriages due to culture differences and advice they give could be more applicable to western marriages.

Does the same apply to books on marriage/communication etc by western authors? What they write might not help Indian marriages so much?
