good airlines for travelling to india with 18 month old?

Hi ladies,
I plan to travel to Mumbai with my 18 month old for the first time , i need your help and advice regarding a few things. I am travelling alone , so i am a nervous wreck.

which airlines is baby friendly? Few of my friends travelled Ethiad and were not happy at all with the service. Pls advice me with some good airlines you have travelled with toddlers/infants. I want to book tickets early , so really appreciate your inputs. I heard Lufthansa allows only one bag in check in luggage- , very tough when you have so much stuff for the baby to carry.

also which is a good umbrella stroller? sturdy, lightweight and not too expensive?
