Hi Ladies, There is a thread here, which says that God takes care of everyone. Today I read a Japanese story which I would like to share with you: " In Japan, an entire village pitied a blind woman who lived in the house by the sea. Her only daughter, a pearl diver, had died in an accident and she had no one to care for her. One day the old blind woman went to a merchant and held out a silken pouch. ' Pearls,' she said. " The special ones my daughter did not sell. The price I will get will let me pay for my meals as long as I live". The merchant asked, "How do you know what they are worth as you cannot see?" The old woman answered, " I have fingers and I have counted them and know their size. I know what they are worth." The merchant opened the pouch and held his breath. He asked, "Why did your daughter keep these pearls?" " I don't know" said the old woman. The merchant said gently, ' Your fingers have counted the pearls and know their size, but your fingers have not seen their colour. They are the rarest black pearls and are worth a fortune. And I shall pay you exactly what they are worth." When the story got around, some people laughed at the merchant. They asked, " Why did you tell her the pearls were black as you knew she was blind?" The merchant smiled, " Yes she was blind. That is why I told her." God comes to everybody's help in different forms. He indeed takes care of everyone.
dear ennaye, What a touching story. The merchant is a living god. God is there around us and he can come through any body or in any form to help one who has belief in him. Very nice write up. Thanks for sharing. ganges
