Which butter do you use to make ghee in US?
I've used Darigold but felt the smell of milk powder in it. The best and closest to Ghee in India I think is when I make ghee from Trader Joe's brand unsalted butter (organic and regular - Both i feel are equally good).

    What's yours?

I use the unsalted butter from SamsClub...
The smell and taste is pretty close to what I was used to in India

Usually I buy ghee (lakshmi or nanak brand) for deepam and cooking. But after tasting the ghee from TJs organic butter in my cousin's place,TJs organic butter became our favorite choice. Both butter and ghee has a great aroma. Infact TJs unsalted organic butter tastes more like Indian Amul butter.
