    Hi AC,

I also viewed yr bro's garden vegetables. It was a mini koyambedu!!

Have a query-have you tried planting onion or garlic? A couple of yrs back, tried with onion, but, did not know when to take them out or when the onion is ready as it grows under the ground. Any idea?

Have you bought okra plant or seed? And, for kanakambaram seed, want to check in that site you have said. Can you tell the botanical or any equivalent name?

    Thanks.

I am so happy to find a group with likes like mine...

This year I am planning to do okra and tomato. I read that someone is planning Okra? is it pot or land :( Can I grow it in a pot?

Also any one know how to get hold of karuvepillai chedi.. I love any dish with it. I am the one back home, who used to eat all the curry leaves in sambhar, rasam and curry

    Hi anandchitra,

Wonderful pictures! Definitely you have got "Green Thumb" or should I say Thumbs!:-D

I want to ask you some questions about growing veggies.

    1. What are the first steps to grow tomato?

    2. Where do you get the seeds, you had mentioned PARK SEEDS, is it an online store or a chain of stores throughout US?

    3. Do you use chemicals to maintain them...since I prefer without using chemicals...what do you do?

    4. How do you maintain them during fall and winter months? Do they still grow even when kept inside...like wont they be affected by our indoor heating?

Please take time to answer my questions. :bowdown ..as I am too eager to start growing tomatoes and Rose this year....:spin

    Cheers
    Krithika ( Jithiks)

    Dear AC,
    Are they okra?
I am so happy for you! You hardwork has paid off.
I am also interested in having a vegetable garden.
As the floor is little uneven at the backyard, I am thinking if it will be successful. Will try to have them in the next season.
