what to do for gas problem...its for my aunt she said it doesn't hurt..but always gasy and its embarrrasing..sometimes stomach makes weird noises tooo..any home remedyyy? Thanks
Dear soni, Regular Yoga- especially Pavana Mukthasana Sensible diet- Avoiding irregular meals and foods that increase gas , Including garlic in diet etc., are some of the ways to prevent this problem. If problem persists, then consulting a Doctor is better.
Gas problem arises because of the chemical reaction when food & digestive enzymes mix during the digestion process. Hence the root cause to be found out & cured for a permanent relief. Let her check her diet by noting down in a notepad the day, food and health problems. That way she can find out the cause for the gas and avoid the things that produce it. Avoid oily, spicy, sour food. In yoga, warm salt water treatment is available which has to be done under the care of a trained yoga practioner. Home remedies for gas :- 1. Include Garlic in food in pickled form (garlic+lemonjuice+salt) or chop garlic, in little ghee, add hing powder, jeera and then the garlic, saute lightly and mix with 2 tbsp white rice and have daily before a meal. 2. Asafoetida powder (hing) in warm water with little salt 3. If she eats chapathi, tell her to reduce it to once a day (lunch) and reduce rice, instead take lot of non-gas producing vegetables. 4. avoid eating anything very hot 5. if she takes more than 2 cups of tea, tell her to reduce that too 6. Heat little water, add turmeric powder, hing powder, sunth powder (dry ginger powder), boil for a minute then add buttermilk, in low flame heat for a minute by stirring continuously (to prevent precipitating) then have that with rice (instead of having dal, sambar etc) this will soothe her stomach. slowly she can regulate her diet.
