Thank you for your inputs.

I want to try, let's see if I get hooked ike you!
Chennai to UAE via Texas? Howz 2022 treatin' ya so far?
Hey, we have the heat in common okayy!
mmm, with paracetamols, cough syrup and kashayams? Lol.
...will the discussions turn into reviews here anytime soon? Long time no see.
Everyone seems to have gotten sick all at once. We were all sick as dogs here but all tests were negative. Whatever it was, wasn't fun. You caught the real thing eh?
I'm glad you guys tested negative, touchwood. Would only be a surprise if you are in India and didn't get Covid. So much that if you popped into any medical shop they be like: "Thermometer or Paracetamols or Cough Syrup, what do you want?" Damn! One hell of a week that was. My mother was so concerned that she packed extra extra podis for me this time and my kitchen cabinet looks like a mini Ayur drug store now! Lol, sweet tortures. Can't blame her though. Sad to hear the news today. We have lost two of the singing legends to this pandemic - first SPB and now Lata Mangeshkar.
(SPB and her. Magical!) RIP.
Hope it went away with no lingering effects. My folks caught it too but thanks to them being fully vaccinated it was really mild.
Twitter was lighting up my phone earlier in the evening. It just came out of the blue. I didn’t know that she had been battling covid for nearly a month. Coincidentally just last night during my music class I was practicing this song and had a conversation with my teacher about her — how no one but Lata Mangeshkar could hold her own singing with a legend like Bhimsen Joshi.
She and SPB made such a glorious pair! So many indescribably lovely songs from Ek Duje Ke Liye to Hum Aapke Hain Kaun. There was a period in my life when I was obsessed with this song. : )
Been thinking of this song since I read the news. Whenever I thought of a quintessentially LM song this is the one that always came to mind first.
Jab ham na honge, jab hamaari khaak pe tum rukoge chalte chalte
Ashkon se bhigi chaandni mein ek sada si sunoge chalte chalte
Wahin pe kahin ham tumse milenge, banke kali..
My favorite too! Rainbow FM (Tamil) used to run a regular show on Saturdays dedicated to just SPB. When it comes to his Hindi collection they would play mostly Hum Apke Hai Koun and Maine Pyar Kiya songs, the same set repeatedly every week. It wouldn't bore us at all, we would tune in anyway to listen. HAHK was the first movie I get to watch on a deck system (but the movie got stuck towards the end and I never got to watch the climax until very later in life). Back then my sister would have shoeboxes with recorded film music cassettes neatly aligned in two rows. HAHK album is the one where she taught me how to record songs on the tape player. Recollecting the excitement I had had that day as a kid trying to figure out how to do it on my own afterward. Good times and sweet memories!
Folks have been sharing their favorites and rare gems on SM all day. Stumbled upon these old videos from the DD archives. Have heard it on the All India Radio but really really a long time back, good to watch today.

ET had observed in their article the trajectory of her career - from the British era to Socialist India to the modern present...long span that is with so many evergreen songs and with legendary co singers through generations. Damn. She will be missed. #Respect!
