Fun, healthy and easy foods for Kids!

    Hello Ladies,

    As you all know, most of moms have the biggest problem of making interesting foods for our kids. They easily get bored with the repeated kind of foods and sometimes start developing aversion to some foods too!

    So I thought why not open up a message thread to share recipes of fun foods for kids. Let's also share those that are healthy for the kids and easy for us to make :lol:

    Here's my contribution...

    Banana Ice cream

    2 Bananas
    1/2 litre milk
    2 tbsp Sugar
    1 Egg

    Boil milk till it becomes thick and then cool. Peel the bananas, smash them, add milk and sugar and grind them in the mixy/processor. Beat eggs and mix it in the banana and milk mix. Mix well and refrigerate it in a bowl for 5 - 6hrs till it sets.

    Delicious ice cream is ready for your kid!

    Strawberry delite

    Boil milk till it thickens and cool it. Blend fresh strawberries or add strawberry crush, sugar and nuts in it. Pour it in cups and refrigerate it for 4 to 5 hrs. Then serve your kids.

    It will taste like faluda and kids will love it :-D .

    hi rohini
    its is great u have started this message,but my concern is ,my child 20 month old has milk ,soy and egg allergies,at present i am giving him rice milk which is alow fat drink can u let me know any food to give, which will increase is weight.

    Hi

    Now-a-days , u can find AMERICAN SWEET CORN in supermarkets like Spencers,Nilgiris,Reliance Fresh jus STEAM THEM (NOT BOIL)

    If they want masala taste, just sprinkle CHAT MASALA and give or

    mix butter with drop of lemonade and peper powder just spread it in the corn and give

    CORN IS GOOD FOR HEALTH FOR ALL AGES and if we have one full corn we will feel our stomach full, so we can have this for our BREAKFAST AS WELL AS EVENING SNACK OR EVEN FOR SNACKS BOX

    u get this redy to eat in shops, it costs little bit high, so u can do in ur home

    since he is 20 months old , u can give all other rich diet like veg,fruits,nuts

    u can give steamed and smashed potatoes,carrots,beetroots etc

    Apple boiled and mix it with ghee and give

    soups - mixed veg or dhal soup or even any variety

    well cooked rice varities (like parrupu sadam with ghee)

    my kid is 21 mnths old..can i give her icecreams..i dint strt giving her anything cool coz of the fear of getting cold..is it okay..

    Hi Smitha,

    You can give her icecreams very little and check, whether it is ok for her or she gets cold. Then you can give a little more. But try one new food at a time so that you can be sure about the back effects.
