My baby is 9 days now. Everyone insisted me to show my baby in morning sun. When I asked my pediatrician thru phone he said babies not to be shown in sun till 3rd month. But when I checked with my other friends their doc asked them to do from hospital itself.
So do u ppl have any idea from when babies can be shown in morning sun.

I did this for my daughter from 2nd month. I didn't do earlier as she was born in Jan. From Feb end onwards. I used to leave her in a playmat near my French window fo 10 minutes jus when the sun rise, mostly between 6-7 in the morning for 10-15 minutes. Also her doctor has given her Vitamin D drops too.

Doctors advise to show sunlight for newborns also to prevent jaundice. You can keep your LO in sunlight for some time, day 5-10 mins.

    Hi

Doctor advised to keep the just born from 3rd day onwards in early morning (mild) sunlight for few minutes. as beingloved said for 5 to 10 mins. Good for Vitamin D absorption and to avoid jaundice.

Early morning sun...protect the eyes ad face. I used to put my baby on the bed next to the window.
Exposing the nappy region to sun for some time also helps prevent rashes.
