Hi.. another 1 on the block Dear Swati, Welcome to IL and enjoy. Glad to know you are from Frankfurt. I lived in Germany for many many years and moved to US recently. No matter how nice, it takes time to adjust to a new country and its ways. Basically, Germans are a very civil and decent lot. They 'look' reserved at first, but if you make friends with them, they prove to be genuine ! As a matter of fact, they too greet even strangers with a smile or nod. But I know that Frankfurt is flooded with a lot of foreigners and in cities like Fkt, people are not that friendly. I do hope it will change with time. Do enjoy living in Germany, its chocolates, cakes, cheeses and breads ! There are some friendly IL'ites living in that area. Let's hope you get to know them L, Kamla Hello, I m Swati, recently moved to Frankfurt, Germany. Living in the area of "Bornheim", a sweet n nice place, with a nice market area nearby.
