    Re: Foods that prevent arthritis-treatment

    Hello there,
I have rheumatoid arthritis in both arms and shoulders as well as in the lower back area.
I have these lumps that are so painful as well.
I have been taking an anti-inflamatory tablet but still have no relief, have also become quite depressed as I work and cannot take time off for the days that the pain is unbearable.
I cannot do any yoga as my joints and muscles are stiff and painful, I would appreciate any advise on what type of medication I can take, if any of the ladies here have a similar problem or knows someone who does, what type of treatment are you having for these symptoms.
thank you so much in advance!
    God Bless
    Didi.

    Hi Didi

My sis-in-law has got arthritis at the age of 33. She did the mistake of first trying ayurveda and unani, which did'nt suit her. Added fuel to her sufferings. She suffered so bad that even touch of a cloth in her hand would pain her immensely. And her dental health was also affected. She couldn't even chew the bread(the most softest food stuff). I have seen her cry and suffer due to improper treatment and guidance.

My husband then took her through a proper allopathic treatment, which involved CNS (central nerves system) checkup. And took her to Dr.Rajashekar, in Ashok Nagar,Chennai who put her thru medication. Now she is able to move around the house, sit and get up from sofa, do cooking, writing. She is advised not to sit on floor and only sit on sofa/chair and not to stand too long.Only when she steps out and walks on road she experiences pain and swelling for a day or two. The doc told this will take 3years to cure completely and now she goes for monthly checkups(testing her rheumatoid factor). And her diet is devoid of all aloo, baingan, oil. Please don't strain urself doing yoga, muscular exercise or anything that would strain your joints. She is doing exercise recommended by the doctor under the supervision of a physiotherapist. We are happy now atleast she is now leading a painless life, able to perform regular activities.

Please go for a proper diagnosis to a established orthopaedician with CNS specialist. And don't get depressed. This will take some time to cure. Be patient but don't leave your efforts and follow ups. This too will pass.

    Take care

    Luv

    Ridge
