    Hi,

Include these in ur food, u will definitely find changes in ur cholesterol levels.

    Pumpkin seeds :

Pumpkin seeds are one of nature's almost perfect foods. They are a natural source of beneficial constituents such as carbohydrates, amino acids and unsaturated fatty acids. They contain most of the B vitamins, along with C, D, E, and K. They also have the minerals calcium, potassium, niacin, and phosphorous. Pumpkin seeds have mainly been used to treat prostate and bladder problems, but they have also been known to help with depression and learning disabilities.

    Gooseberry :

Peeled gooseberries are an excellent source of vitamin C, and a good source of vitamin A, calcium, iron, and phosphorus . Helps reduce cholestorol

    Honey :

very low in Saturated Fat, Cholesterol and Sodium

    Garlic :

Modern scientific research confirms these ancient uses of garlic, including its ability to lower cholesterol and blood pressure. It is the sulphur-containing compounds of garlic that lend the herb its spicy aroma and are responsible for many of its healing properties. These compounds lower cholesterol by stimulating the release of bile by the gall bladder and by decreasing the production of cholesterol in the liver. In addition, garlic compounds gently lower blood pressure by slowing the production of hormones related to blood pressure

    Peanut butter :
Peanuts and peanut butter contain mostly beneficial monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. These fats as compared to saturated fats have been shown to help lower blood cholesterol levels. Lowering your blood cholesterol level may reduce your risk of coronary heart disease

    hi Archana,
    thanks for great info.
you forgot to mention about flaxseed. don't worry i am giving the information about flaxseed:

Flax seed and cholesterol relationship is possibly due to its fiber and omega-3 fatty acid content, which lower levels of total cholesterol and LDL ("bad") cholesterol. Studies show that flax seed and cholesterol, link together in that flax seed helps lower total and LDL cholesterol levels; other studies also show that omega 3 fatty acid may also help lower blood triglyceride and blood pressure. It may also keep platelets from becoming sticky therefore reducing the chance of a heart attack.

its very good combination with rice and pickels.i had high triglycerides problem before.from 4yrs onwards everyday i am taking 1tbsp of flaxseed oil. and now i have reduced Triglycerides too. ibelieve so strongly in the triglyceride lowering power of omega-3.

You can mix equal quantities of cumin(jeera)powder and coriander(dhania)powder and take 1 tsp of the mixture twice a day in water for cholesterol and heart probs.
Ladies can also add powdered ajwain seeds ,fennel and a little asafoetida powder along with the above for hormonal imbalance.

    Archana,

    I would suggest 'OATS'.

Intake of two tablespoon of oats with 1 glass milk daily will reduce cholestral level considerably. We can see the result in a month. If anyone wished to reduce their weight can take oats as suggested above.

    dear shel_28,

Intake of two tablespoon of oats with 1 glass milk daily will reduce cholestral level considerably.- is it just mixing dried oats with 1 glass milk?

    shall definitely try this.

    Love and Regards,
    Archana.
