Not stupid at all. I just used to separate them after breaking them so yes a little white would get in sometimes but it didnt seem to matter to Aadhu anyway.

Does anybody have good pumpkin recipes? Fall brings pumpkins galore so I want to take advantage of that. I bake acorn squash and she likes that. What are the other ways to prepare pumpkin?

Since nobody is posting their daily menus here anymore (I wonder why!) I thought I'll post Riya's for today. We are slowly starting Riya on solids atleast twice a day now and sometimes b'fast. Rest of the time she's nursing.

b'fast - Cheerios and grated apple
lunch - shredded chicken and cheese
dinner - whole wheat pasta, mixed veggies and yogurt puree

    Raj

P.S. - Come on guys, where are you all???? Post your menus here, I need some ideas....:)

    Hi Sailaja,

I am merging your query with an existing thread. This will help us have all replies under one thread and so easier for anyone to search.

For breakfast you can try rusk dipped in fruit juice or milk. If your baby is already used to chewing then you can give this as finger food (that case no need to dip in anything... he'll bite and eat). Also you can give oats porridge, ragi kanji or any cereal. If you make idli regularly at home you can also introduce that.

    Hello IL's

    Here's my one.
Deseed Dates and Cook them with good amount of water until they are plump. They should get very soft. Keep aside to cool. Then puree it in the blender. Since its cooked way too much, the puree gets soft and silky. Since dates are naturally sweet, ur lO will love this.
You can store the puree in the fridge for a month.
The puree can be added ( like 2 tsp's) in the baby cereal, or fruit purees (like peeches) or in rice etc...

It tastes awesome and date has lots of fiber in it, so its good for ur LO's tummy too..

    Enjoy!

    Thanks
    Mellow.

    Almond Puree

Soak almond ( raw almonds) overnight in water. Then cook them in water until they are soft. Allow to cool. Then puree in until smooth. While puring will wanna add either boiled milk or water coz almonds get thicker.
You can keep this in the fridge for a month.

This almond butter can be added to cereal, rice, fruits etc.

Good for the baby's growth and development.

    Enjoy

    Thanks
    Mellow
