Hi all, I am flying to US alone in air india flight for the first time with my 5 months old baby . Its of 24 hrs journey . He is on formula feeding.I am much concerned about his feeding.I have few questions 1.Can I carry hot water and plain water with me. 2.Am i reuqired to carry only sealed pack of milk powder? 3.Will they sterilize the milk bottles in flights. 4.Is it safe to use the water provided in flights to use for formula mix. 5.Does it required to sterilize the bottle for each and every feed. Awaiting for reply, Kiran
@kirru since your baby is accustomed to bottle/formula feeding it should not be a problem. 1. Airlines provide hot water. 2. Not necessary to carry only sealed pack. You can carry opened packs but retain the powder in its original package and pack it in a clear bag. 3. They will not sterilize. 4. I have seen many parents use hot water given by airlines. 5. Take sufficient bottles to last for 24 hours journey. Since you are travelling alone you might not find time to wash the bottles too.
Don't worry about hotwater. They provide it like Ramya said. Just to be sure, give the customer service a call and that should put your mind at ease. Since you can't take liquid detergent to wash the bottles, take enough bottles to last that long and then add 3 more.
1-Airline provide hot water it is safe.. 2- You can carry open forumula in any small bottle 3- keep 4-5 sterlized bottle with you..baby wipes and extra cloth for baby... 4- Yo u can wash bottle with bottle cleaner..0 I travel alone 4 times with my 10 month old son, everything I find out staff is very helpful if you have infant....
There are sterilized disposable bottles available. Check if you can get that in your city. Carry enough for your flight journey so that you dont need to worry about washing.
