Hello all I read this article in TOI today and thought it was worth sharing and discussing here on IL Five things women need to change about themselves by The Underage Optimist : Chetan Bhagat's blog-The Times Of India I completely agree to his first point that "women are harsh on themselves and harsher on other women" The other points like "faking", "property rights","relationship drama","big ambitions" went tangential to my head.May be Chetan bhagat's right...i as a woman need to change myself What say?? what do you think..which point strikes a chord with you??
Constant desire to judge other women,Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm there are some Megalomaniacs who always desire to judge others, give a certificate and try to write off- Dinny,i am not talking about you,its generalised POV.
Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely...... Some movies made on his books and now he is author of stripuraan............ Baah humbug.... Or just to roll over eyes and say ''WHATEVER.....!!!'' dinny you are the one always saying that we men generalise things about women and what not......... And now that another man is generalising it is acceptable as he is on a padestral......... Double standards......... He he he....... Take care chow
Nice to see you boogey man. J of CB? new green contact lens? :hide: Dinny, Unfortunately I do agree with some of chetan's points.
:hide: Uh-oh. Looks like Chetan Bhagat has not got too many fans here. But fan or not, I certainly agree with what he has said there about standing up for our individual rights. Yes, doing that is difficult, gets us branded with unpleasant titles ....... but there are two choices - fight or flight. And if we choose to flee, there is no point talking about women's rights.
Dear Quebec let me clear the air i dont generalise all men (finger crossed behind back :hide: ) But seriously what that man said in the article is actually a fact. We judge every woman we come across(this one is not limited to just Indian women, its universal) we Indian women are big emotional fools and thats why sacrificing comes so easy to us. Though he has given whats to be changed he has not given any idea on "how" to go about it. And now why i accepted his POV?? its because i am a big fan of his so much so that my husband has banned his books from our house
friend in need is friend indeed!! last time i bought his book in the airport when his latest book on his TOI articles was published. Despo na??
smart man..... Your DH....... But as you are a fan....... Who can stop you...... I would say anybody saying anything doesnt change anything... Makes no sense...... Just chill chetan bhagat is a great writer... As you are a fan...... Everybody has a POV and happy for you if his writings and articles help you evolve as a person...... To each his/her own........ I just find him a little too preachy........ Like he is gonna start a art of living course or something like that for all...... Just my POV......... Take care chow
