    Hi all

    Do we come to know about the gendre of the baby in the first san (18th week) ?

    And what are the other things you wil come to know about the baby after the first scan ?

    HI,
    Usually b/w 16weeks to 20weeks, you can find out the gender of the baby.
    And doctors will do other checks about baby's growth.
    I don't have the complete list, but my gyn was stressing more on babies bone, spine, tailbone etc.

    hi,
    ultrasound helps to determine the growth of fetus.the doc will check for the length of baby,circumference of baby's head,heart rate of baby,amount of amoniatic fluid,placenta position etc .he will also verify that there is no abnormalities in baby & fetus is growing according to normal development expected at this stage.
    though the doc can determine the gender of baby but in India as it is banned no doctor will tell & its much better also that way.imagine the thrill of waiting for something for 9 long mths.
