Dear ILites, It is nice to get back to all of you once again bearing good news. July was a rather quiet month in Finest Posts with fewer nominations than June. We in Finest Posts often tell you that we are happy when nominations keep flooding in and the thread is brimming. But then, we in FP have also told you that we do not play the numbers game. It is not the number of nominations, viwerships or responses that deem a post as the best. Rather it is the sheer and simple quality of the post, the cheer and fantasy that it imparts to the readers, the magical lush worlds that it conjures in our minds; that makes one post stand atop trees. So, it gives us green oops! great pleasure to declare the worthy winner of Finest Posts for July- 'House Atop Trees' by Sathya. Congrats!! Sathya! A well-deserved n much expected win for you! Sathya is a member who reminds us of Naimisharanyam- where the great God Vishnu manifested Himself as a forest. In contemporary world, Sathya is the Green Peace warrior in IL. Her posts always carry a whiff of fresh air, reading them is like taking a deep breath of oxygen and feeling it run thru the naadis. Her words carry us back into times when greenery and peace were part and parcel of daily life. It is but natural that her posts carry simple truths of an ecologically sound way of existence. Often when I am lost for words I borrow them from my worthy co-moderator Kamla who aptly describes Sathya's post as one 'which is full of idyllic fantasy and somehow fills one with happiness upon reading those innocent lines'. I can add nothing more to express my appreciation at such a splendid post House Atop Trees by Sathya. An especially noteworthy point about this is its form which is different from what Sathya adopts usually. I hope all of you will read and re-read this winner and fly in her magic carpet woven of green reeds to a safer world.
Dear Sathya.. It is my pleasure to Congratulate you for the July's Finest Post! It made a pleasurable reading. L, Kamla
Dear Friends, Do take the pleasure of reading Sathya's 'House Atop Trees' if you have already not done so. Like Vidya has mentioned, please come forwards with the post that you found was appealing to you for any reason, be it in its content, style, fantasy or for the plain home truth that it dives into. By sharing your favorites with us, you are doing a favor to us as we otherwise may miss out on a good post. As usual, it is very difficult to place the choice on only One post as the winner. I repeat myself when I say that a mere nomination here makes the post a winner! L, Kamla
