    My second nomination for the month is this post by @Thyagarajan:
    My Craze For Sarees (a response in a thread by @iyerviji )

    "my mother used to hand wash her only two or three sarees preserve with piece of kerchief knotted with napthaleen balls stuffed into it in the steel cupboard."

    "Out of curiosity, I as a boy, tried wearing my mother’s (new) saree. ... Once I came out wearing a new saree out from trial room imitating ladies in fashion parade to delight mother and sister & of course other onlookers."

    "Person desires to be attractive and so choose their attire either in saree or churidhar or in lehengas or in trousers, full Suit etc., But a crescent by itself is not so beautiful as when Lord Nataraja or Goddess Kamakshi wears it."    ​

    Read the post for 14 such percipient reflections and observations. My favorite was #12 for its unexpected time travel jolt from days of yore to the moment of (Thyagu) writing the post.

    Thank you for your nomination of the response by @Thyagarajan to the thread My Craze For Sarees @iyerviji
    Thyagarajan never ceases to amaze me with his in-depth knowledge of every subject that he touches on. Here he seems to know more about the lengthy nine yard sarees than the ladies who wear them. How delightfully he has gone about the subject! In keeping with the length of the saree, he has made his response lengthy too. A rollicking response!
    My favourite is Point 6 for two reasons. He can be profound even in sleeping. His time-pass is mainly Indusladies.
