I often wonder if anyone reads all my blah blah blah before I announce the Winners. They probably go straight to the Winners’ names and shoot off their congratulations. But then my problem is that I cannot go straight to the announcement of Winners’ names. Being a Rambler and a Senile one at that, I tend to ramble away with gusto. Let me come to our subject. As you may have noticed, I have been lamenting about the dwindling number of nominations lately. It made me wonder if people were losing interest in nominating the best of what they read. After seeing the nominations this month, the low number of nominations did not bother me at all. On the contrary, the sheer quality of the posts nominated lifted my spirits soaring high. All the nominated posts were so deliciously readable, I had to summon my mental octopus to select the best two. It went around and after considerable head-scratching, gave me two names. Let me share them with you without further ado. If she has something to tell you, she does so in few crisp lines and it goes straight into your head. Look at the advice she gives to handle boredom at work. I am simply floored. It is a mixture of seriousness, earnestness and subtle humour. I know you have already guessed who I am talking about! The Finest Contribution Award goes to @Amulet for her crisp 15 line response to Sri2196 in the thread Bored At Work.. When an elderly member like gopalan1937 calls it ‘An excellent response, for me to follow’, it says it all. Congratulations Amulet! And thank you Rihana (an encore!) and Blinky (the first Bull’s Eye in her new avatar!) The Finest Narration Award goes to @kaniths for her latest posts in her classic exposition Doodle A Word, A Day! :) . This is creativity at its best. IL itself gets a stupendous boost in its reputation through these posts. Way to go kaniths! My hearty congratulations to Gauri and jskls for zeroing in on this colourful analysis of IL’s past.
Congratulations !!! @Amulet I somehow knew we had a winner in the building within your first few posts. I remember your ID getting created like yesterday. You have come a long way in a relatively short time Congratulations !!! @kaniths for the well-deserved win @Cheeniya Truth be told, I religiously follow your FP posts to read your prologues a tad bit more than to know who the winners are You make it fun and the buildup of momentum before you eventually pop the Champagne makes me feel like I am attending Filmfare awards night live
