Spring has a way of showing us that even after the longest stretches of uncertainty, growth is always waiting just around the corner. It brings moments of quiet beauty, like those first flowers daring to bloom after a long winter, or the soft drizzle that stirs up memories of home. Much like the seasons, our IL community here has faced some challenges, yet we've found ways to stay connected, share, and grow together. It reminds me of when I had tulips in my front yard. When we redid the garden, getting the soil hauled away was too expensive, so we dumped it in the backyard and forgot all about it. The following year, I was sitting at my dining table when I noticed tulips pushing their way through the soil in a spot I had never expected. My thought was, Bloom where planted. It was a quiet but powerful reminder of the resilience and beauty that can emerge, even in unexpected places. No points for guessing! The Winner of the Finest Post Award is @Srama for the snippet: A Window Of Opening! Srama's snippet filled with reflections on change, nature, and heartfelt memories, reminds us of the importance of noticing the small, beautiful things around us. Congratulations to @Srama. Thank you @iyerviji for nominating the winning post and for being the steadfast pillar of support for FP!
@Srama, Congratulations on winning the finest. Despite all the obstacles we encountered in accessing IL site, your snippet was like a fresh air.
@Srama There was a time when I used to be proud of my vast vocabulary and my skill to use it in my posts. But where goes all that skill when I search for words to write a congratulatory message to you? You have become a bench mark for beautiful expressions. Heart congratulations my dear girl!
@Rihana Don't wince with discomfort when I give you a congratulatory slap on your back with my vast palm! You are the IL Wordsmith
@iyerviji I don't have to have any fear about the future of FP awards as long as you are there to carry it on your shoulders
Dear @Rihana, This is so so embarrassing! Please accept my sincere and heartfelt apologies. There are many reasons, the most important being this is April/May - spring breaks, senior trips, graduations, and celebrations. Add to that yard work, spring cleaning - it has been a frenzy. And add to that sporadic appearance and disappearnce of IL, not to mention my own! That does not excuse my absence but..... I do love it when bulbs decide to walk around - the whole yard. I experience that with my irises often but nevertheless it brings joy, promising that life can take root where it wants, challenging our beliefs and delighting us in the process. Thank you for choosing my post as the winner. trust me when I say I have written so much more since but I can only post if I can respond! PS: Thank fully as I wait to board the plane, I looked at IL and lo here I am surprised and embarrassed...but grateful for the chance to respond!
Dear sir, @Cheeniya sir You know I am all that, thanks to your encouragement since my early days of IL! I cannot thank you enough for your immense support. As for those words, we would love to see them come out as a snippet! Please accept my sincere apologies for this delayed response. I shall never do this again!
