@Viswamitra 's Nominations Of Elephant Bondage by @sln Dear Viswa Your response to sln"s thread is itself an eloquent summary of why you are nominating this thread. This is indeed an interesting summary of elephants and the concluding lines make us feel heavy in the heart. In India, they are run over by speeding trains, killed by electric fences and poachers. We just fail to understand that all creatures have as much right to occupy this planet as humans have. My Experiences With Cats: Part 1 by @Tamrakshar The undercurrent of humor in Tamrakshar's narrative is quite palpable and so it will be in all topics of cats! I recall 'Tobermory' , a story of a cat by that name by Saki (H H Munro). The plot concerns Tobermory, who, at a country house party, is taught by one of the guests how to talk. He converses in a tone of feline superciliousness with the hosts and guests, alarming them with his knowledge of their secrets and his indiscretion in reporting the conversations he has overheard! I do hope Tamrakshar will continue with his feline stories! Nomination by @joylokhi I Feel Lost In This Home Response by @Laks09 I have always had great admiration for the constructive way in which she looks at problems, domestic or otherwise, and gives her well-balanced solutions. The present one is no exception. I will only quote her concluding sentences: "It’s sad that in this day and age women are having to go through this. The only way out is for us to stay strong and show our resilience. That’s going to help us in the long run." Nomination by @Thyagarajan Accelerated Math..my Child Didn’t Get Into It by @anika987 This thread and the responses thereto are yet another instance of how cohesive this community is. Members show their readiness to help when someone is in doubt.
