@Rihana Thanks a ton for your nomination of Binders! by the blog supremo @Srama The problem of acknowledging the nomination of Srama's snippet is that I have run out of superlatives and my book of synonyms stares at me helplessly. A beauty! A simple and elegant way to touch on the picturesqueness of what is around us. A mundane mind like mine cannot take anything more than this! Sri
@Viswamitra My dear Viswa Thank you for your nomination of My Addicted Relationship by @angelin She starts thus: I read on equally mesmerized. Each line takes me to a crescendo And we reach the dénouement. 'Her mobile phone' it is! We smile sheepishly. Angeline has the gift of the gab, I tell you! Sri
@iyerviji My dear Viji Thank you for your nomination of the response of @Metamorphic to the thread "no One Should Change After Marriage" Guy. Metamorphic appears to be very balanced in her thinking, taking measured steps when faced with a dilemma. Her advice to the OP proves this. That says it all! A good, balanced post. Sri
Cheeniya sir according to Wikipedia : Umami (/uːˈmɑːmi/, from Japanese: 旨味 [ɯmami]) or savoriness is one of the five basic tastes.[1][2] It has been described as savory and is characteristic of broths and cooked meats.[3][4] People taste umami through taste receptors that typically respond to glutamates, which are widely present in meat broths and fermented products and commonly added to some foods in the form of monosodium glutamate (MSG) or related substances.[5] Since umami has its own receptors rather than arising out of a combination of the traditionally recognized taste receptors, scientists now consider umami to be a distinct taste.[2][6] Foods that have a strong umami flavor include broths, gravies, soups, shellfish, fish (including fish sauce and preserved fish such as maldive fish), tomatoes, mushrooms, hydrolyzed vegetable protein, meat extract, yeast extract, cheeses, and soy sauce.
@Balajee Thank you Balajee. What will we do without Wikipedia? I am trying to find at least one subject not covered by Wikipedia. No luck so far!
Dear Cheeniya Sir, I am here to nominate @DDream's post How Do I Manage The Hatred Feeling Towards My Husband ?. She makes helpful posts in response to many threads here in IL and this one stands out as a practical way to solve a problem that can never be solved through outside help. This completes my quota for November 2020.
@Viswamitra My dear Viswa Thanks a lot for your final nomination for the month with @DDream 's highly practical response to the OP of the thread How Do I Manage The Hatred Feeling Towards My Husband ? She starts with pointing out the mistakes of the OP herself and goes on analysing the real issues. Her final solutions sound very practical. A good post Viswa Sri
@iyerviji My dear Viji Thank you for your sixth and final nomination of @startinganew 's reponse in the thread Why Are Men Such Toddlers? When I started reading the post, the first thing that I got impressed with was her razy language. That made her post eminently readable. The contents appear to be the outcome of pure common sense. Thanks Viji Sri
My nomination number six for the month is this light yet useful response by Thyagu @Thyagarajan How To Talk Non Stop Without Saying Anything I liked reading the handy tips explained with helpful examples. Thyagu is right when he states: "Neighbours are useful. But familiarly breeds contempt. Sometimes familiarity breeds attempt. So navigate your neighbour smartly." Truth be told, I employed the above just today when I decided to go easy on sharing "like new" or "sealed in box" stuffs I thought my neighbor could use.
