All the heroine's very nicely wearing saree nowdays
the heroine's mostly show their flesh only.

Thanks for the share Mohana. Not only are the actresses decently dressed, but the award function itself is so simple- no unnecessary graphics, no unnecessary songs and dances, no dramas. And did you realize that none of the winners shown there actually gave speech? They humbly accepted their awards with a smile and went back to their seats. Unlike now where you have the whole family coming to the stage and fighting for the mike

BTW, was Radhika involved with Pratap at that time? She seemed too shy to even pronounce his name ;-) On both occassion where she had to talk about him, she referred to him only as "here's d best actor of Malayalam", and "he received his award from rekha"..

And it was also interesting to watch Srividya's reaction upon receiving award from Kamal. Looks like they made Kamal to give award to her on purpose.

And Rekha was in the same function as Gemini Ganesan???:spin

Thank you for sharing with us this rare clip showing yesteryear actors and actresses in the prime of their youth. Indeed, all the actresses were decently dressed (all wore sari, and not modern costumes) and the actors too were dressed simply too.

Yes, I noticed that Kamal gave the award to Sri Vidya too and she coyly accepted it.

 

Did u notice at the end radhika playing with someone.. is it with Prathap? Prathap did wait for her to return to him even after the divorce. He used to warn her when she was dating captain.. didn't he warn her in public and land into trouble?
