I felt I was reading PG Woodhouse. You had taken the reader to the sacred spots where they left quality fertilizer! Meow or bark which is better or more macabre in the eerie night.
Once cats were considered nocturnal but now a days like us dogs and cats have become our pets and diurnal. Now-a-days one come across stories of monkeys attend religious discourses, cows attending vedic classes and bird Garuda visiting garba grinham in kerala vishnu temple and these make one believe in reincarnation theory.

Thanks a lot, sir. That is a tremendous compliment! PGW has been my all time favourite! Yes, all these stories are really fascinating and truly must have something to do with purvajanma samskara!

    Dear Satchi,

Ever since we lost our pet Orion, there isn't a day passes without talking about him. They become family members with same time and energy spent for him like for any other family members. I know it is hard work to look after them. You and Thyagarajan Sir speaking about sacred things animals do, I have been watching a bird coming every day to our door standing in my way to enter the house. I started giving water, food, etc. but it didn't touch any of them. I wonder why this bird is standing in front of our house especially when I return from my morning walk. Normally, the birds will run away once we walk towards them. This bird isn't afraid and stands right on my way. I am trying my best to understand what this bird wants but without any success so far.

Oh, am so sorry! Did not know Orion had passed on. Can imagine the heartbreak. My cousin had a dog which passed away a couple of years ago and he still can't get over him.

Really intriguing, this bird. It is so fascinating to observe them and to be able to communicate with them!

Prior to gathering the dried up clothes from clothes lines on my terrace, every bright ochre sun time I used to offer on parapet wall snacks like murukku, thenkuzhal or mixture . Crows flock in tens and twenties around my flying zig zag or in parabolic arcs providing spectacular time. They never fight against each other in reaching to the snack and noticed that they allow the younger ones to peck first . I used to be reminded of film song ka ka ka aagaram unna அன்போடு கூடிவஙanga from film Parasakthi.

For about a week I was away from home and upon my return home the same evening with mixture packet on hand went to open terrace and before I could place on parapet wall a heapful of mixture my friends crows in huge blocks arrived rapidly from different directions . I was wondering how they were went about their job in a disciplined manner walking or hopping few steps at a time giving way to young ones to devour the mixture that was available on small heaps on the floor. How they remembered me and eat in silence without crying கா கா கா.
