I also tried sending you a dm but it looks like your profile doesn’t allow sending a dm or staring a conversation! Anyways take care! You will get through this!

Anika, you are one of my favorite IL.

I can feel it how is your day going today. Stuck at home , don't have people around us(not your daughter and your husband) that you like to talk, fake people(friends or relatives) when you open FB or WhatsApp, cannot lead the life how you want to lead etc many things around you and you keep thinking all day about your age, career, your life...

I believe most of women have these hardships. Good to know you speak Tamil I just came to know today as that's my native language as well:)

Not sure how old is your daughter?

I have 2 kids, stuck at home, quarantine... online learning ... literally not easy ..

One thing I liked nowadays started playing soccer with my little son in my backyard (like soccer game just kicking and getting goals) . I am loving it...just running kicking playing like kid ...started organizing my kids room, closet, cabinet, etc. Working on my hair as it's becoming thinning...oil massage, hair bath frequently etc.

If you bored or down...take a break ...run and play with your kid more physical play in outdoor like basketball, tennis, etc really helps you.

Start gardening..it's not easy job you have to take care like another kid

What about posting your favorite quote as your phone wallpaper...

Please please cut off social media if you start looking others it will drain your mind. I have my FB but strictly only for groups I subscribed like kindergarten schedule, special need kids activities, home organizing etc

Hope it helps what I do...it all depends on what you want to follow. Don't feel guilty t...1 day a week or month take a break watch your favorite movie, eat junk food...do some homemade facial ..dress up how you like to do...take a picture and make a photo book...

Every Sunday (since its quarantine time :)) ItI a break from daily schedule... eat what I like to eat, watch my favorite movie or take a nap...gives kids iPad for little longer...

    Hope you feel better soon....

    Thanks dear..

got back to my workout routine today and feeling better:)

especially during period days..it is an emotional roller coaster!!

This quarantine isn’t easy and today the sun was shining..got out for a small walk too..

And ate healthier..yesterday it was crazy! So much junk I ate and let go of myself but..I did sleep well:) that also made me feel better.

Guess everyone goes through emotional hardships..

    this too shall pass..

I too was facing similar depression due to Covid19 crisis...
Many days when I feel like a zombie and mind doesn’t work properly and I keeping brooding over past , regretting certain things I did in life...thinking of people etc,..
But you have many advantages I.e you don’t live with in laws...your kid is growing older and will be independent soon and you can do something useful...
I would like to cook and clean on alternate days and make few adjustments to get rest ( my friends and relatives in US do that ) but can’t as I live with in laws..there is still no clarity as to when maid helpers are allowed in my part of city as some cases were there in nearby area ...few nearby areas were sealed...we are in lot of fear..can’t trust helps now...
You and your husband are safe..if you were employed now, and in essential services you would be working every single day and going out for work risking exposure to Covid...and what about your kid? Day cares and after cares are just not an option for a long time to come...working from home isn’t easy either..
If I’m not wrong you struggled to conceive and have a kid, so you need to stay home for her sake at least...and all mothers at so e point have given gadgets to kids to get some me time..not a big deal don’t feel guilty as long as you’re limiting it.
I know so many moms here in India who struggle with work pressure, doing house chores, cooking, dealing with nagging in laws, keeping kids occupied , and achieving work deadlines and attending office calls...all of them didn’t have and still don’t have maid helpers or baby sitters due to Covid lockdowns..not all have family support...those who usually work 8 to 9 hours in regular office setup are working 10 to 11 hours a day at crazy hours as wfh makes them accountable 24*7...really they’re exhausted and burnt out..
Even I was upset as I wanted to resume work but can’t do for time being...but console myself as I have pre existing health problems ...it would have been big risk for me to go out for work everyday till Covid is controlled in my city,.
With job security on the line now, be supportive to your husband...
Classical dance thing, I too agree with what your H says,.nowadays academics is too competitive...college education to expensive unless you get a decent scholarship ...tough to pursue dance unless interested professionally...
Just don’t think about that neighbour...I too have such an acquaintance who lives in nearby flat...She has two kids, she manages her own boutique business...she is so slim and well groomed and beautiful all the time...her kids excel in all activities and academics and always well smart and dressed...always volunteers for most of the events held in our society...do not honestly know how she has time and energy for so many things...
I used to envy her , and her enthusiasm towards life...I know her actual age, but she seems and looks younger...but I try not to think of her as her situation and mine are different...
I know you have some toxic relatives and acquaintance putting you down but due to this situation u don’t need to talk or interact with them much...I don’t have much choice on the other hand, while living with in laws..they just freely invite any relatives whether I like or not, whether I feel like entertaining or not...I need to socialise whether or not I personally like the relative..
You’re allowed to laze around some days, you’re not a machine!
Good you’re feeling better now...stay positive.

    Hi,
Only today got the chance to read this thread, i think many of us have those days of feeling gloomy when we don't know what to do, dwell on past negative experiences, blame others for our situation....all these happens to me on some days.
While reading the post i was feeling so proud of all you ladies for supporting someone who is going through a bad day... i think even a few words of appreciation for what we have been doing to run our house/raise kids and motivation give that positivity to that person.
Blessed to be a part of such a wonderful and inspiring group :clap2:
