fatty Arms...

    my arms just above elbow are fatty. which gives a stout look.
    Any exercises / suggestions to maintain it slimmer?

    hi Ccrazzie,
    even i have similar structure.. my arms look fat compared to other proportions of the body.. when I put on weight, it is on the arms its shown first..:rant

    best way i have heard is... overall exercise for the body would also help in toning of the arm muscles.

    Hi Ccrazzie ,

    There is no exercise to reduce weight from particular area in the body.Please follow very strict diet , religiously do exercise for atleast 30 mins every day and drink plenty of water.I'm sure within 2 months time you will definitely see a considerable weight loss.

    IAM 55-58 KGS and 5'2"
    Is it normal? I don't know wat exercise to do as iam not aware of any..
    Regarding diet, iam concious.

    There are many youtube videos. You can see that and do it yourself at home. Use 2 water bottles (same) as weights and start working out. It is very easy..

    Calculate your BMI (you can google ). Im assuming you are in the healthy weight range but your arms need some toning.

    When i calculated your BMI it falls under the normal category (BMI =23.4)

    BMI Categories:
    • Underweight = <18.5
    • Normal weight = 18.5–24.9
    • Overweight = 25–29.9
    • Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater
    Its not about the weight its about toning ... start doing power walking and weights for toning ........

    To tone your arms, you could also try some yoga poses and the ones that come to mind are downward dog and variations, vashistasana, plank pose. The key is working the right muscle group and learning to hold in a pose for longer duration working with your breath.

    Exercise i follow is... Yoga. Suryanamskaras and few asanas.... They have helped to maintain my weight.
    Also it has helped me get my arms slimmer and toned..which would make me look fatter than actually am.

    Lift one hand up fully stretched with palm facing you. Now bend your hand for fingers to touch your shoulder. Hand should not fall below your shoulder hight and keep as high as possible.
    Do 20 counts in one hand, then do for next hand - One-by-One
    3 repititons to begin with (total 60 counts in each hand).

    After 2 weeks, increase counts in each cycle to 30-40, maintain 3 reps
    After 4 weeks, do 20 counts but increase reps to 6
