Thanks a lot for your words of wisdom, Agatha mam.
Whatever you have said is almost 100% true.

Sad that sometimes we can't recognise our bosom pals. A friend was relating to her experience. Years ago while working in Delhi one day while passing through the Connaught Place, she suddenly spotted her primary school friend amongst a group of tourists at the traffic junction! They hadn't seen each other in nearly 30 odd years. Somehow my friend recognised her, introduced herself and had an unscheduled meet too. What a fond memory!

As you rightly said, most of those beautiful memories are permanently etched in our minds.

    Dear M,
Such experiences leave a sad mark on us but that's life. It goes on waiting for none.

Men are better at honouring old friendships than women is my firm belief but variations will always be there.
Nothing escapes your keen eye, Sir. Yes, it is farewell time for students!
Thanks for your observations and comments.

I loved the apt image you have posted with a Kannada quote. Thanks.

Will do tomorrow Geeta. Got back after a mega long day (by my standards) at work. Sitting 6 hours on a chair with my feet down was far from funny. Am too exhausted to think.

Haha... :grinning: .. I read a few of the posts of this thread, and chuckled to myself thinking that some girls have good, peaceful lives, without any unusual worries. That is what makes you able to go back and recall M, K, C and other alphabets.... and wonder if their lives too had turned out as peaceful. Best wishes to keep on with a good life.

Elsewhere on the forum, I was wondering why we have recalls of specific memories, and placed the reason on the right context which pings them out of our brains.
People who had meant something unique, special, memorable, significant, the good, the bad, and the ugly, are the only ones we tend to remember. Just like anything else we can remember and recall. These are the memories that continue to "spark a joy" in our minds. If they hadn't sparked that joy, we might have jettisoned that memory and gone on with our lives.
